The last of the BCS Bowl games, with the exception of the National Championship, is being played tonight at 8:30 EST. The Orange Bowl is played in Miami, FL and this year is between Clemson and Ohio State. The first Orange Bowl took place in 1935. In 2006, it became exclusively tied to the ACC.
Tonight is sure to be an exciting game since you’ve got the dynamic duo of Tajh Boyd and Sammy Watkins for Clemson going up against Braxton Miller and Carlos Hyde from Ohio State. Miller and Boyd have scored 70 touchdowns this season collectively and are clearly two of the top quarterbacks in the country. Both teams have something to prove tonight. Ohio State’s dreams of heading to the National Championship were dashed with a loss to Michigan State in the Big 10 Championship. They are tired of being told that they don’t play difficult teams. Clemson is still trying to prove that they are a program that can hold their own. It will come down to whether or not Clemson can stop the Miller and Hyde. If they can, they will win. Otherwise, I think Ohio State will be making some freshly squeezed orange juice tonight!
