What’s sexier than a bunch of 250 lb. men wearing pink? Whether they are supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month because they just like boobs in general, or they are truly concerned about saving the real ones, it really doesn’t matter. Everyone is getting behind Breast Cancer Awareness…and you should, too!

why do football players wear pink

Breast Cancer will affect all of us at some point in our lives, if it hasn’t already. Whether you are diagnosed with the disease, have a friend who has had a double mastectomy, lost a relative, or hear the story of the school secretary who battled the disease and is a true survivor, you WILL be affected. The degree as to how much you are affected can be minimized with early detection and funding to find a cure for this dreadful disease.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Every female over the age of 40 (younger if you have a family history) needs to get a mammogram every year. Notice I said “needs to get” and not “should get”. This is not an option. You are not too busy. Anyone who puts it off and complains that it hurts is a wimp and has their priorities out of whack. Who has time for surgery, chemo and radiation? And do you really think THAT won’t hurt? Give me a break. If you’re going to get cancer, you’re going to get cancer. It is not prejudiced. We are all at risk. How early you find it and how treatable it is, can be up to you! If it’s been over 12 months, call to get your mammogram scheduled TODAY!!!

At Flip the Field, 10% of all donations we receive are given to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®. One day, a cure will be found, but the only way for that to happen is to increase funding. Please consider a making a donation today.

During the month of October, Flip is giving 50% of the revenue from The Ultimate Football Party Planning Guide to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®. Buy yours today! It makes a great gift too.
